Sonny’s Hero: In an interview tonight on ABC’s “20/20,” James Caan reveals the unlikely inspiration for his Oscar-nominated portrayal of hot-tempered Sonny Corleone in “The Godfather.” Says Caan: “I became like Don Rickles. . . . There is absolutely no relationship between Don Rickles and Sonny Corleone but that whole attitude, whatever it was, that was it to me.”
