International Remote Posts $32,282 3rd-Quarter Profit

International Remote Imaging Systems, a Chatsworth manufacturer of urinalysis machines, said it earned $32,282 in the third quarter contrasted with a year-earlier loss of $125,221.
Third-quarter revenues grew 35% to $1.4 million from $1 million last year, the company reported.
For the nine months that ended Sept. 30, the company earned $65,473 contrasted with a loss of $269,569 last year. Revenues for the nine-month period grew 30% to $4 million from $3.1 million a year earlier.
The company attributed the higher earnings in part to improved manufacturing efficiencies.
