Judge’s Sentence Draws Fire

Bill Boyarsky is right on target in his cautionary warning to Danny Bakewell of the Brotherhood Crusade to avoid actual or apparent racism in his treatment of the Korean business community (Nov. 19).
Like Boyarsky, I find a world of difference between the Bakewells and Al Sharptons on one hand and vastly more sensitive and skilled people like Rep. Maxine Waters on the other. I cannot imagine Rep. Waters--a true battler for so many issues--issuing a clarion call for action against another ethnic group. That’s a dangerous move.
