Elderly Man Killed in Chula Vista Crash
A 75-year-old man was killed Monday when the motor bike he was driving collided with a pickup truck in Chula Vista, authorities reported.
Jose Enrique Flores of Chula Vista was attempting to make a left turn from 2nd Avenue to Sea Vale Street about 9 a.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck traveling south on 2nd Avenue. He died at the scene, Chula Vista police Lt. Art Gauf said.
The truck driver, James Philip Costello, 21, also of Chula Vista, was not injured. No charges have been filed, and the accident is still under investigation, Gauf said.
