U2 Unseats Brooks: “Achtung Baby” by Irish rockers U2 will enter the Billboard pop album chart in the No. 1 spot in Saturday’s issue, ending the reign of Garth Brooks, whose “Ropin’ the Wind” has been at the top of the music trade journal’s weekly ratings for two months. The U2 album sold about 295,000 copies, approximately 120,000 more records than the now No. 2 Brooks collection.
