Slaying Victim’s Identity Sought
San Diego County sheriff’s homicide investigators are seeking the identity of a man whose body was dumped over a cliff off Del Dios Highway. The man had been shot once in the head, then taken to the isolated area near Lake Hodges, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
A motorist who stopped at a turnout Wednesday morning spotted the body lying about 10 feet off the highway. The man was a Latino in his 30s.
A county medical examiner’s office spokesman said late Thursday that the dead man remained unidentified.
