Sobriety Checks Set at 11 Points in South County
Sobriety checkpoints will be set up at 11 South County locations on weekends through New Year’s Eve, the County Sheriff’s Department said.
Each weekend night, one of the locations will be operating from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. The locations are:
* Dana Point: northbound Coast Highway at Granada Drive; southbound Del Prado Avenue south of Street of the Amber Lantern; northbound Coast Highway south of Del Obispo Street.
* Laguna Niguel: westbound Crown Valley Parkway, west of Greenfield Drive; westbound Street of the Golden Lantern at Sardina.
* Mission Viejo: eastbound Alicia Parkway at Via Fabricante; southbound Marguerite Parkway at Avery Parkway; eastbound Santa Margarita Parkway at Marguerite Parkway.
* San Juan Capistrano: northbound Camino Capistrano at La Zanja Street; eastbound Del Obispo Street, east of Camino del Avion, and southbound Camino Capistrano at Del Obispo Street.
