Entries Sought for Asian Film Festival

Entries are being accepted for the seventh annual Los Angeles Asian Pacific American International Film & Video Festival, to be presented at various locations in May.

Jointly sponsored by Visual Communications, the nation’s oldest Asian Pacific American media arts center, and the UCLA Film and Television Archive, the festival will attempt to present the finest films and videos by Asian Pacific Americans as well as Asian international productions. Last year’s festival provided opportunities for audiences to see works by both established and emerging film and videomakers.

Productions eligible for consideration include shorts and features in drama/narrative, documentary, experimental, animation/graphic films and one-channel videoworks in all genres. Super 8-mm, 16-mm and 35-mm entries (film); and NTSC-format works (video) by Asian and Pacific Americans with themes involving, but not limited to, Asian Pacific American culture.
