Taking Idaho Over ‘Greater Anaheim’
I can well understand the feelings of the retired Anaheim police officers who have moved to Idaho to get away from the smog and congestion of Orange County (“Buying Safe Haven Among the Pines,” Dec. 1). After witnessing the deterioration of the area over the last 25 years or so, I have had similar feelings myself.
But I find it ironic that Anaheim Mayor Fred Hunter is considering the same option. Locally, he seems to be bent on trashing the last vestiges of wilderness in the North County and converting them to “Greater Anaheim.”
