Mauled by Two Sides Over O.C. Malls

Re “No Shopper’s Paradise in Mall-Hungry Irvine” (Dec. 3): This is utter nonsense to promote the idea that every city needs a mall. Apparently there is a conspiracy between the merchants and The Times. The mother of three who is quoted as driving 150 miles per week on errands would probably log the same mileage if she lived across the street from South Coast Plaza.
