Volkswagen Recalls Cabriolets, Sciroccos: Volkswagen United States Inc. recalled about 51,000 1987-90 Cabriolet and 1987-88 Scirocco cars to check for a fuel tank crack. The German auto maker said there was a possibility of fire if a car with a cracked tank were hit in the rear. There have been no reports of accidents or injuries because of the problem. Owners will be notified within two weeks. Inspection and repairs will be free.
