They Hated to See Raiders Go Into a Shell
The Raider players didn’t lose the Buffalo game, the coaches did. Under the timid leadership of Art Shell and the less-than-confident play-calling of Terry Robiskie, the Raider brain trust went into their second-half containment strategy.
Containment didn’t work in Vietnam and it didn’t work on Sunday, either. Eighty-thousand-plus Raider fans could see that.
