Crosses on the Mounts

Share

I was born in San Diego, and Mt. Soledad is one of my favorite places to view my hometown, but I always feel a little unwelcome standing in the shadow of a gigantic symbol of someone else’s religion. I’m glad someone finally challenged this symbol, and I think every Jew, Buddhist, Muslim and atheist in San Diego should be grateful to Howard Kreisner for his effort, courage and determination in pursuing this litigation. We can now feel like equal citizens in our own city park.
