Sicily’s Mt. Etna Erupts

CATANIA, Sicily —
Mt. Etna, Europe’s most active volcano, briefly erupted Saturday, spilling lava for about an hour. The lava cooled quickly and did not threaten any of the villages on the mountain’s southeast side.
