CAGED ANIMALS, WILD HUNTERS
The story on canned hunts was right on target in condemning this barbaric and inhumane practice of releasing domestically raised exotic animals to satisfy the blood lust of ignorant hunters.
For years the ROAR Foundation has been working to stop this heinous and morally unacceptable “sport.” ROAR’s president, actress and conservationist Tippi Hedren, has dedicated herself to providing a haven at her preserve, Shambala, for some of the unfortunate animals that would otherwise end up as candidates for these canned hunts.
Until we humans realize that we are responsible for the protection of all our fellow creatures, in the wild and in captivity, our humanity is in question.
