MISSION VIEJO : Permanent City Attorney Named
Peter Thorson, interim city attorney since August, was given the job permanently by the City Council last week.
Thorson took over as the city’s top legal adviser after the departure of Douglas C. Holland, who left Mission Viejo to become district attorney for Monterey County.
Thorson, a resident of Alhambra, is also city attorney for Azusa and Downey. He has worked for 12 years as an attorney for the Costa Mesa law firm of Burke, Williams and Sorensen.
