James Madison Rallies Past UCLA Women

Freshman Jackie Freeman scored 20 points and handed out five assists, both career highs, and combined with Krissy Heinbaugh for 13 stretch-run points to lead the James Madison women’s basketball team to a 78-72 victory over UCLA Monday.

The Bruins (3-2) led, 59-58, with 7:10 to play and 65-63 at 2:07 when James Madison (4-1) went on its final run. Madison outscored UCLA, 15-7, the rest of the way.

Rehema Stephens and DeDe Mosman led the Bruins with 16 points each. Lynn Kamrath had 13 points and 12 rebounds.
