San Diego
A burglary at the San Diego chapter of the NAACP marked the fourth time this month that the agency has been broken into, its president said Wednesday.
The break-ins in the at 2857 Imperial Ave. in Southeast San Diego have resulted in the loss of at least $12,000 worth of equipment, including two computers and a newly installed phone system, according to Curtis Moring, chapter president.
Moring said that, in the wake of Tuesday’s burglary, the organization may move to safer quarters. The existing office has bars on the windows but no electronic security system.
