Hughes Aircraft Moving Microwave Operations: It will move production of its microwave transmission equipment for the cable television industry from Torrance to Winnipeg, Canada. The shift will affect 56 employees. The company said it hopes to gain Canadian support for research and get better access to international markets. The products consist of video distribution equipment used for delivering TV signals to local areas. The move will occur over the next year.
