Wagner Update: A spokeswoman for the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra said Sunday that a concert of works by Richard Wagner, Adolf Hitler’s favorite composer, would not take place Friday as planned. “We have postponed the concert at this point,” she said. Orchestra musicians voted earlier this month to lift a 53-year ban on Wagner’s music, but the spokeswoman said that the orchestra’s Public Council had asked for an indefinite delay while it conducts a poll of 36,000 subscribers for their views.
