LOCKUP: If you didn’t already have reason enough to keep your guns locked away from the reach of children, prosecutors can now add incentive. Another new law for 1992 says parents are legally responsible in shooting tragedies in which children gain easy access to a gun at home. . . . “Before, we could only prosecute the children,” says Deputy Dist. Atty. Devallis Rutledge. “But it’s usually Dad who’s to blame; he’s the one we’re going after now.”
