Spurs’ Strickland Reportedly Ends Holdout
From Staff and Wire Reports
San Antonio Spur guard Rod Strickland’s 80-day holdout apparently ended on Sunday, when he reportedly agreed to a one-year contract worth $1.3 million.
Strickland, 25, and team officials were finalizing the details of the contract Sunday night, according to various news accounts.
Strickland averaged 13 points, eight assists and three rebounds a game last season. He joined the team Feb. 21, 1990, in a trade that sent Maurice Cheeks to the New York Knicks.
