Bush Urges Tackling of Domestic Problems

WASHINGTON —
President Bush, in a Christmas message to the nation, urged Americans on Monday to tackle domestic economic problems with the same determination that liberated Kuwait and spread democracy around the globe.
“Now we must capture that same spirit of belief in ourselves as we overcome hard times at home,” Bush said in a television address.
Bush also paid tribute to the Americans recently freed after years as hostages in Lebanon.
