How’s That Again?: Kimberly Williams, who plays Steve Martin’s daughter in the newly released remake of “Father of the Bride,” still isn’t quite sure what to make of Martin’s advice to her on the first day of filming. She recalls that the actor-comedian said to her, “Welcome to L.A. . . . get a good psychiatrist,” which leaves Williams asking, “He was just joking, right?” This perplexing advice aside, Williams says Martin and Diane Keaton, who plays her mother in the film, “were great, not intimidating. They taught me how to play poker and treated me as an equal.” Williams is a junior majoring in performance studies at Northwestern University.
