Glendora : Magazine Offers Condoms
Readers of Citrus College’s campus magazine will find an unusual insert in their issues this holiday season--a free condom.
Staff members of Logos magazine said the idea grew out of several stories they published about safe sexual practices and AIDS. They pitched their idea to Okamoto USA Inc., a manufacturer, which agreed to donate the condoms for the magazine’s 20th anniversary and final issue.
Logos is being discontinued because of budget cuts, faculty adviser Peter Brosnan said.
The magazines were distributed last week, including copies that went to the school’s board of trustees.
Brosnan said there has been no reaction from officials yet, but that “we got a lot of positive comments from students and health workers on campus.”
