From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Dan Gamel, a San Joaquin Valley recreation vehicle dealer, pleaded not guilty to one felony count each of bribing a loan officer and creating false financial statements involving a former dealership. His trial was set for Feb. 18 in Kern Superior Court. Gamel has contended that he twice won in disputes with the state Department of Motor Vehicles involving this case. The original criminal complaint was dismissed because it was not filed in court within 15 days after Gamel was bound over for trial.
