South Korea Vehicle Exports Rise: South Korea sold 389,515 automobiles, trucks and buses abroad in 1991, 12% more than the previous year, officials said. About 70% of the exports went to the United States, said the Korean Automobile Industry Assn. It said Korean car makers also sold 1,102,598 vehicles at home in 1991, up 15.8% from the previous year. Hyundai Motor Co., the nation’s top auto maker, sold 51.4% of the total vehicles at home and abroad, or 767,656 vehicles, the association said.
