Stone’s “JFK”
Many people in America are in a deep sleep, as Hayden’s Column Left about attacks on Stone and his “JFK” film so perfectly points out. Too many of us are afraid to question authority, buck the system or voice unpopular opinions.
Americans brag of living in a free country, but how free are we when millions of us are duped into believing what our government sells us as truth? In turn, those sold on this “storybook concept of democracy” are mentally and emotionally shackled to living a naive, helpless and sheepish existence.
Come on people, wake up and smell the coffee! America is only as great as its individuals.
Hayden said it best: “We need more haunted souls than comfortable sleepers in this country.”
