Inmates’ Suit to Father Children
So prisoners’ constitutional rights are being violated because they are denied the right to have children--what about the constitutional rights of their victims? Desperate for a grandchild? The two slain Lynwood youngsters were someone’s grandchildren.
Who will support these children? What kind of living does a Death Row inmate make that will enable him to provide his progeny with a college education? Does attorney Carter R. King really believe that the birth of a child fathered by an inmate can “help make up for the lives their father took”? I doubt that any of the victim’s family members would agree.
As far as I am concerned, these inmates surrendered any and all constitutional rights when they committed their crimes.
