Alpine
Two men and a woman were arrested Wednesday in the 1990 stabbing deaths of two men whose bodies were discovered on Lyons Valley Road near Alpine, officials said.
Held on suspicion of murder are Alan Dale Mummert, 44, of San Diego; Derek Jason McGee, 22, of Spring Valley, and Xenia Rae Anglin-King, 44, of San Diego, who is McGee’s mother.
Bail for each suspect has been set at $1 million, said Lt. John Tenwolde of the sheriff’s homicide unit.
The three were arrested in connection with the deaths of Dallas Nathan Underwood, 25, and Alan Howard Ross, 31, both of Guatay, who were stabbed to death in March, 1990, in the yard of Ross’s home on Old Highway 80, Tenwolde said. The bodies then were taken to Lyons Valley Road and dumped onto an embankment.
The victims and the suspects apparently knew one another, and robbery and personal disputes are believed to have motivated the killings.
