Jaclyn Smith Has Talents That Transcend

Share

Howard Rosenberg is one of the most articulate and interesting writers in the field of television criticism. I feel, however, that his piece on Jaclyn Smith was unfair (“Smith: A Clone Again, Naturally,” Jan. 8).

The point he made that Smith’s persona, mannerisms and, for that manner, likability, transcending the majority of her performances could be said about many stars.

I have had the pleasure of producing a miniseries in which Smith starred, and I can tell you that she is one of the consummate professionals in the industry. I admire her as an actress, as a mother and as an exceptional human being whose career will transcend any criticism she receives for decades to come.
