U.S. Consulate Hit in Firebombing

BRISBANE, Australia —
A firebomb caused glass and smoke damage to the United States consulate in Brisbane, police said today.
Three large panes of glass were broken in the explosion that occured early Saturday morning when a gas-filled bottle was thrown at the front of the consulate, they said.
Damage was confined to the ground floor of the consulate. There were no injuries.
