VENTURA : Man, 34, Indicted in $4,320 Bank Theft
A Ventura man who was arrested by Oxnard police Dec. 13 and charged with the armed robbery of a Ventura Wells Fargo Bank has been indicted on federal bank robbery charges, FBI officials said.
Gilbert Theodore Soto Jr., 34, was indicted by a federal grand jury Tuesday for allegedly robbing the bank on South Chestnut Street of $4,320 on Dec. 4, Ventura FBI Supervisor Gary Auer said.
If convicted, Soto could be fined $5,000 and sentenced to a maximum of 20 years behind bars, Auer said.
