Woman, 61, Robbed by Home Intruders
A 61-year-old woman was tied up in her home Wednesday by three youths who stole a laser disc and a gold necklace, police said.
Police had no one in custody in connection with the 12:30 p.m. robbery in the 5500 block of Nevada Drive, Lt. Jeff Cope said.
The woman was in the house with a 5-year-old boy, police said. Neither of them was injured.
Cope said three intruders, 15 to 16 years old, knocked on the door and one pointed a long-barreled handgun in the woman’s face.
Demanding money, they forced her to sit down, tied her with telephone cord and began ransacking the house, police said.
