2 Armed Men Rob Northridge Bank
Two men wearing military-type fatigue clothing robbed a Northridge bank Friday of an undisclosed amount of cash, Los Angeles police said.
There were no injuries in the 3:30 p.m. robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank on Corbin Street near Parthenia Street, Sgt. Norm Roberge said.
“It was a takeover-style robbery,” Roberge said. “They came in armed with a rifle and a handgun and then robbed the bank.” Many customers were in the bank, but police would not say if the bandits robbed them as well.
Bank officials and police would not reveal the amount of cash taken.
Officers found a blue van possibly used by the robbers abandoned about a mile from the bank, Roberge said.
