STILL LOST

Reviewer Charles Solomon appears to be sadly ignorant concerning Mme. Helena Blatovsky’s writing: She did not speak of “Mu” but of “Lemuria”--which, when she wrote about it (1887-8), was a theory as popular among geologists, anthropologists and paleontologists as theories on Gaia, Gondwanaland, plate tectonics or continental migration are today.

The destruction of the Mediterranean island of Thera (or Santorini), circa 1485 BC, remains a theory, a hypothesis, but that this was “Atlantis” is ridiculous. Fortunately, there is adequate evidence of Atlantis’ existence, and disappearance, in the records of ancient India and China, and in what was not destroyed of the records of the Mayas. Mme. Blatovsky’s book, “The Secret Doctrine”--kept on the desk of Einstein and others as a reference--was based on these records.
