Packer, Colt Assistants Expected to Join Rams
Green Bay Packer special teams Coach Howard Tippett and Indianapolis Colt receivers coach Milt Jackson are expected to be named to similar positions with the Rams. Tippett coached with Tampa Bay from 1981 to 1986 and joined the Packers in 1988. Jackson has 12 years’ NFL coaching experience, including stints with San Francisco, Buffalo, Philadelphia and Houston.
Ram Coach Chuck Knox has three remaining assistant coaching positions to fill: offensive line, linebacker and quarterback.
Former Ram assistants Hudson Houck (offensive line) and Clarence Shelmon (running backs) have been hired in similar capacities by Seattle.
