Art for Sale: The $30-million collection of William A. McCarty-Cooper, an internationally renowned interior designer and philanthropist who died last year in Los Angeles, will be auctioned Saturday at Christie’s New York. A Russian chair carved in the shape of a seated human skeleton (estimated at $10,000 to $15,000) and an Anglo-African table covered with zebra skin ($4,000 to $6,000) are among the more bizarre items in the sale.
