San Gabriel : Limits on Truck Parking

Share

Big trucks will have to find long-term parking off city streets under an ordinance passed Tuesday.

The City Council approved a measure that prohibits trucks of more than three tons from parking on residential streets and limits parking on commercial streets to one hour. The ordinance allows parking for deliveries and loading.

City officials had complained that trucks use busy streets as a “parking lot” between jobs and often park on residential streets, which were not built to handle large trucks.
