REAL ESTATE : Bramalea Homes’ Newport Coast Draws Opening Day Throng
It’s too soon to know how fast they’ll sell, but Bramalea Homes’ Newport Coast development drew a lot of looky-loos at the grand opening last weekend.
The Newport Beach-based builder says more than 6,500 people toured the model complex, located on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the Irvine Co.’s new Newport Coast project.
The 58 semi-custom homes--that’s builder talk for expensive tract homes with a lot of design options--are priced at $1.6 million to $2.1 million.
Bramalea officials won’t confirm it, but early word is that the company took at least six $100,000 deposit checks over the weekend.
