* Margaret Whitman has joined Disney Consumer Products as senior vice president of marketing for domestic consumer products, a newly created position. She was formerly with Disney’s corporate strategic planning group.

Whitman will implement division-wide marketing programs, manage key projects and supervise critical aspects of new business initiatives.

Others changes at the Burbank-based Walt Disney Co. unit: Anne Osberg has been promoted to senior vice president of Disney Licensing. Formerly vice president of Disney Film & Television Licensing, Osberg will be responsibility for the entire family of Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto.

Paul Pressler has been promoted to senior vice president of Disney Consumer Products, expanding his role from senior vice president, Disney Licensing.

Pressler retains responsibility for Disney licensing in the U. S. while adding four existing businesses: Walt Disney Records, Disney Audio Entertainment, Walt Disney Computer Software and Disney Educational Productions, plus Consumer Products’ Creative Resources and Business Development groups.

Elizabeth Kalodner has been promoted to vice president of marketing for Disney Film & Television Licensing.

Kalodner will continue developing licensing programs for such Disney film and television properties as “Beauty and the Beast,” “Dinosaurs” and Disney’s 1992 animated release, “Aladdin.”
