DROP IT, YURI: With what used to be the Soviet Union now in flux, Russian police are hoping to update their departments, says former Santa Ana Police Lt. Tom Adams. Adams says he’s been asked to travel to Russia later this year to discuss SWAT team methods and weapons. “We’ll probably talk about exotic sniper weapons and scopes and probably armor-piercing bullets,” says Adams, who teaches at Rancho Santiago College.
