Under Her Thumb

The Rolling Stones have never been flattering to women: “Under My Thumb” kind of said it all. So I guess it comes as no surprise that Keith Richards would go out of his way to snub Janet Jackson by indicating that she’s not worth the money Virgin Records paid her to record for the label--also the Stones’ record company (Pop Eye, Jan. 12).
Think again, Keith.
Janet won the Songwriter of the Year award last year from BMI, and she’s sold 20 million copies--of her last two albums.
So figure it out. Who’s worth more? A 25-year-old artist whose future is ahead of her, or a brain-dead ex-heroin addict fossil rocker whose better days are clearly behind him?
