A Bank of A. Levy branch in Port Hueneme was robbed Monday afternoon by a man who eluded capture, authorities said.
The robber entered the branch at 147 N. Ventura Road at noon and demanded money from a teller, a Port Hueneme police spokesman said. He neither displayed a weapon nor indicated that he was armed, police said.
Police officers who responded to the bank alarm moments later searched the area but found no trace of the robber.
Several customers were in the bank, but no one was injured in the robbery.
