Rain Has Not Hampered Bass Catch at Lake Perris

Steady rain has hampered fishing at most Southland reservoirs, but apparently not at Lake Perris, where the largemouth bass have decided to feed.
“No one is out fishing today,” General Manager Bruce Van Vort said Tuesday morning, “but early in the week people were bringing in fish consistently, and that’s no fish tale.”
Van Vort said the bass are feeding throughout the Riverside County lake at about 30 feet and that it doesn’t take an expert to catch them: “Even the average guy is catching them, and that’s something we’ve not seen in the past.”
