San Dimas : Council Alters Curfew Law
The City Council gave preliminary approval to a less restrictive version of a curfew law for minors.
The existing law, adopted in the mid-1970s, requires that a child under age 18 be accompanied by a parent or guardian if out in public after 10 p.m.
The updated version states that a minor is allowed in public if running an errand for a parent or guardian, returning home from work or heading home from a movie, concert or other special event.
If amendments are adopted at the next council meeting, Feb. 25, the ordinance will take effect March 26.
