The Pacific Symphony has received an $80,000 two-year grant from Mervyn’s stores to continue the orchestra’s Saturday morning family concert series, which Mervyn’s has been underwriting since 1984. This grant is the first multiyear gift from the Hayward-based department-store chain. Last year’s grant was for $35,000.
