“The 1964 Women’s Open held at San Diego Country Club was one of the greatest in USGA history,” Beard said. “We anticipate that the 1993 Women’s Amateur will be just as entertaining and exciting.”

The SDCC, designed by William Park Bell, opened in 1921. Renovations were made in 1962 under the direction of Harry M. Rainville.
