The Slow Club came and went ... fast. Chris Fahey, promoter of what was to have been an every-Saturday alternative rock night at the International Pub in Newport Beach, said the pub’s management decided not to continue the Slow Club after one outing, on Feb. 8. Fahey said the show, featuring Electric Cool Aid and Delicious Mind Garden, was a hit at the door, drawing 450 people, but that pub management decided the raucous alternative rock sound and audience weren’t suited to their establishment. Fahey said he is seeking another location for Slow Club shows. Pub management was unavailable for comment.
