News From NBC: NBC News correspondent Jamie Gangel has been named national correspondent on the “Today” show, a post occupied not so long ago by the show’s co-anchor, Katie Couric. Gangel replaces Rick Davis, who succeeded Couric last year but has since decided to take a leave of absence to study poetry at Harvard.
